Hatshepsut meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies was the fifth pharaoh of the Eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty.
According to Egyptologist James Henry Breasted she is also known as "the first great woman in history of whom we are informed."

In many areas under Hatshepsut started a development_ which was typical of the New Kingdom, they were based based on old traditions_ however (see also: Pa) which included all social strata. There are thus a number of innovations, such as the first writings of the Book of the Dead on papyrus_ the installation of monumental decorated tombs in Western Thebes_ as well as the creation of a new ceramic repertoire.
Hatshepsut's reign is considered generally as a prosperous epoch which is considered one of the heydays of Egyptian history. Egyptologists consider Hatshepsut for one of the major figures of the

Some researchers believe that Senenmut and the Queen were lovers basing this on a statue which shows him with Neferu Re-embracing her in a protective gesture.
